Situation
Construction Equipment Parts Inc. (CEPI) is a service provider and part supplier for the ready-mix concrete industry. They’ve experienced growth over the years and have expanded to include five locations that serve all 50 states. With a sudden spike in demand coupled with supply chain shortages due to COVID-19, they were seeking a new hose manufacture.
Opportunity
With Flex-Tech’s geographic proximity to their headquarters in Dallas, we could easily accommodate for complex shipping requests. Our team also recognized how to best work with their existing systems, making necessary shipping adjustments to get demand filled quickly.
Action Taken
Our ability to be agile with shipping was a game changer for CEPI. With separate purchase orders for each branch, we were able to accommodate drop shipments, reduce shipment time and decrease customer wait time. The client also qualified for private brand labeling on our 5/8-inch RTW water supply hose.
Results Generated
Flex-Tech quickly met the demand of each of CEPI's five locations. We were able to provide a reliable hose that's standard on all of CEPI's trucks. Our Ability to provide a superior product and deliver it on-time despite changing market demands has resulted in a successful partnership.
